LP GIARDINO

WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
Born and raised in a small town outside of Boston, Massachusetts.

WHERE ARE YOU LIVING NOW?
Williamsburg!

WHO, AND WHAT, HAS INFLUENCED YOU?
I trained under German native, and former twenty year, Stylist and Educator of Vidal Sassoon, Dirk Diegel. His precision, attention to detail and ability to design beautiful, balanced haircuts gave me the motivation and inspiration to become a stylist with those same qualities.
I chose to specialize in cutting right from the start. I have an appetite for puzzles and crafting with my hands that cutting hair fulfills. I appreciate the co-designing process between myself and my clients. The key to creating a successful haircut is communication and collaboration.

WERE DO YOU FIND INSPIRATION?
I find inspiration from the clients themselves. By conducting a thorough consultation,
we discover their needs and formulate a haircut based on those needs.
My motivation is to achieve a haircut that reflects both my and my client’s aesthetic,
while considering their desired level of maintenance and daily styling routine. Outside of the salon,
I find myself inspired by the city, the juxtaposition of old buildings against new buildings,
the architectural angles and the eccentric people that live in it. For the last three years, I've spent much of my time
away from the chair assisting clothing designer Geoffrey Mac. I noticed hair is a lot like fabric
and I've discovered that I use the same methods to create clothing that I do when cutting hair:
geometry, precision and an eye for shapes, proportions and drape.

WHO IS YOUR DREAM CLIENT?
I love cutting hair! Curly, straight, short, or long;
I welcome a balanced variety of clients.
